Python and Ramesh

The strangest things happen. The conference proceedings stepped on to the lecture on 'ruby' the guy sitting next to me started evangalising me on 'python'. Python, aparently turned out to be an even more elegant scripting language with a shorter syntax and an inexhaustible collection of libraries with ready documentations (help and dir commands). Amazed by the small demo on xxx's lapom , Ramesh instanlty decided to rewrite his personal accounting software(windoze thingy) in python . Equally inspired, I volunterred to help. Whether we may ultimately resort to good old C or stick to python is yet to be decided.

Nights that followed

The confereces were ended with style. Laser shooting at excel world proved to be a fun way to end the conference with encouraging participation of the FOSS delegates themselves. Deveka seemed to have me target logged ;-)

FOSSL 2005

The FOSSL event was a much awatied and a very satisfying experience

The entire week was exciting and I was sponsored by CBSL to attend the full coference.

Had a gliplse of the CodeFest by accidently bumping into Anuradha on yahoo mesenger during the lunch hour which was followed by a unplanned visit to the CodeFest Venue along with Gayan. Met a lot of old and new friends there. Also met Anuradha W in person for the first time . We've met only elctronically earlier. The place was electric. Done in style. Wifi, IRC and all the coding .The japanese dudes were interesting (in accent as well as in action ). And erm the pizza was good too.
